Why the hell did I cry in my yoga class??

Some students at my yoga classes in Nottingham have displayed, quite literally, mixed emotions at finding themselves crying during a yoga class. Of course, if it is a private yoga tuition session in Hucknall, the setting is completely different, but during a pregnancy yoga class or a group class of physical yoga, meditation or chanting, some people can feel shocked or even embarrassed.

As an experienced yoga teacher, I take my role very seriously and will always respond with kindness and discretion, read on to find what advice I offer my clients and why we sometimes cry during a yoga practice.

Living my Tapas

Well, where do I start on living my tapas? Perhaps by saying that I was more than happy to wave goodbye to 2017 for it gave me a couple of the toughest life lessons so far BUT was also a catalyst for massive change and growth for me, for which I have huuuuge gratitude.

Tapas is the third of the niyamas which tells us that every situation, no matter how uncomfortable allows us to change and grow, making us a better person.

So, with my hand on my heart, I said goodbye to it. Thanks for the lessons.

Are you in "The Zone"? Save yourself, get out!

Don't get me wrong, I believe comfort is a lovely thing, but Comfort Zone? They say life begins just outside of this place - it keeps us on the edge of out seat and appreciating things in a different kind of way.
