Heads, Shoulders, Knees & Toes

Join me for an exploration of the body, focussing on detail on a different physical area each week. I want to invite you to invest your time and energy into you, moving only within your unique comfort level.

I’ll incorporate elements of mindful movement, asana, pranayama, mantra, relaxation and meditation with some useable motion that you can take home to help keep your body and mind in tip-top condition.

The investment for the whole six week course is £42. Individual class spaces will be made available later but depend entirely on availability. Please refer to my T's & C's for the finer details.

Tri-Weekly Quiet Club

Life can be hectic and the chatter of your mind can become noisy. A regular practise of purposeful silence can provide you with clarity and focus during busy times and studies have proven that you can begin to enjoy many things including a better self awareness, better sleep quality, increased levels of happiness and physiologically, better cardiovascular and immune health. It is even commonly accepted that reduced amounts of stress in the body can slow the rate of ageing.

Come along for a short period of stillness, concentration or meditation with a small group of like-minded people. There will be some very gentle movement and focus on the breath but no experience of yoga or meditation is necessary. Booking is essential and places are limited because I would like to keep this as a smaller group.  Please wear comfortable clothing and bring along a cushion, bolster or yoga brick for ease of sitting. Chairs are available if you are not comfortable to sit on the floor.

Restorative Candlelit Yoga

In the hustle and bustle normally involved with preparation for the festive period, treat yourself to an evening of restorative yoga practice with Lee-ann. We will practice only a handful of very gentle yoga poses with very soft lighting and soothing music, with the sole aim of relaxing the body, restoring energy during the winter months. This session is not part of a course and can be enjoyed even if you have never practised yoga before.

Booking will close on 8th December. Last year’s event proved very popular and spaces are limited.

£10 - 75min restorative yoga class

Please complete a Health Declaration prior to your first practice and ensure you read Terms and Conditions ahead of booking. You will also need to provide a valid email address with which to receive pre-session information concerning the session. 

It is advised that you bring your own yoga mat and props for your practice. In particular, you will need comfortable, layered clothes, a yoga block, bolster or cushions. If you need to borrow a mat or props, please let me know in plenty of time. I would suggest car-sharing where possible because parking spaces are limited.


Pregnancy Yoga

Pre-natal yoga classes are due to begin in September 2018 in conjunction with Bahia Yoga in Nottingham. These classes are perfectly placed for ladies working in the city centre and timed especially to be able to dedicate some time to yourself in the middle of your working day.

The 45-min lunch time classes will also be accessible to those with limited mobility but will be specifically tailored for pregnant women (+16 weeks gestation). Included will be gentle movement with specially adapted yoga poses, breathing exercises, relaxation techniques. 

Pregnancy yoga with a qualified teacher can help to alleviate common physical discomforts, provide relaxation techniques for improved sleep quality and birth preparation and can give you the space to absorb the physical and emotional changes happening in your life and your body

Be yoga fit at home. Some previous yoga courses have been recorded as yoga tutorials for a home practice are available to buy. It is intended that you use these videos alongside a regular yoga lesson with me. (You are able to contact me to arrange private tuition of these courses.)

Working When Pregnant: Your Rights
Please find attached a link to the GOV.UK website, explaining your rights in relation to working whilst pregnant, specifically to paid time off for antenatal care or appointments.

Children's Yoga

Exposing children to yoga from a young age and in a school setting can be hugely beneficial in terms of introducing non-competitive exercise, improving the quality of a child's sleep, better concentration and the ability to form meaningful relationships.

If you work in a school and are interested to introduce yoga sessions to your children, please complete a registration form and I will gladly send you some more information.

There are currently no after school children's yoga courses. If you would like to register your interest, please complete a registration form and I will contact you in due course. You are also able to get in touch for information on group yoga sessions for children's or yoga parties
