As a yoga teacher with a passion for anatomy and physiology and the nervous system, I can explain to your team how stress is a normal and necessary part of life, yet how continued exposure to these hormones can cause problems within the body. This can manifest as poor sleep patterns, weight problems and even physical illness. Stress hormones such as cortisol begin to damage internal tissues if they remain in the body for too long. 

Common causes of stress can be a high-pressured job and money or relationship - often we have two or more of these issues at the same time and a negative cycle pattern can occur.

I combine my knowledge of the nervous system and yogic philosophy to explain the importance of incorporating elements of relaxation into everyday life. Including mindful movement can provide an excellent method for both relieving stress and helping the body rid itself of toxins. The inclusion of downtime, meditation and relaxation techniques can empower people to optimise their own health and well-being.

Similarly to the delivery of my yoga lessons, I bring my own unique style to my public speaking. I like to connect conversationally with my audience, using ‘real’ words and examples to explain the technical language and with the odd element of humour to engage. I welcome interaction and questions and if there’s something I don’t know, I always task myself to find out and follow up to provide the information.
