Strength is not just about bulging biceps and super six packs. It is also a mental and emotional attribute that we sometimes take for granted

I'm now taking bookings for my new yoga course, Inner Strength, where we'll look at strengthening poses for both your physical body and for your energetic body and everything in between.

If you have been to my yoga classes before, you might know that I like to enjoy a light-hearted practise with the lovely folk who come to share with me but I do take it very seriously. I love this way of life and one of the most valuable and key things I've learned along this path is that it really is not just about what happens on the yoga mat. Personally, it's helped me through some quite difficult times and given me great joy and gratitude during happy times. It's all-encompassing and really can alter the way you live your life in such an incredible and positive way, changing not you, but the way you see situations and respond to them.

I like to introduce physical postures to strengthen and lengthen the muscles and to incorporate elements of mantra (chanting), relaxation techniques and pranayama (breathing exercises). Taking this time out to invest in yourself can really give you a heightened awareness of what is really important in your life. You. Because how can you function and be the best You if you don't make time to ensure your body is well nourished with food, water and exercise AND if you don't take the time to replenish with rest and stillness?

Lots of the people who come along tell me that they sleep better after my classes. I've had a few who have told me that they have lost weight and feel fitter. I've had many, many people share that they feel so much happier. Now, if that's not a good enough reason to unroll your mat, I don't know what is.

Unfortunately,  some have missed out on booking spaces before, because some of my classes get busy, so head over to my 'Classes & Booking' page to reserve your place because unfortunately, I have to limit places. Booking is on a first come, first served basis. Even if you haven't practised yoga before or don't consider yourself to be fit / flexible / young enough / the right body shape* (delete as appropriate, all are welcome). Get in touch if you have any questions, I'm happy to help out.

If you're reading this and have never been to a yoga class, I hope my blog posts encourage you to try it. If you're close enough to come to my classes, I'd love to meet you and if you haven't been for a while, come along - you would be very welcome back!!

My goodness, I love what I do.
